Catching Up with 18-Year Pro and World Traveler Bronswell Patrick

Bronswell Patrick may not be a name familiar to all baseball fans, but he a very respected name within baseball's inner circles. From losing his father at a young age, to Major League Baseball, to playing in other leagues worldwide, to esteemed coach and administrator, his story deserves attention.


Patrick was drafted at the age of 17 by the Oakland Athletics in 1987. He'd reach The Show with the Milwaukee Brewers in 1998, after a full decade in the minors. He'd later spend time in Korea, Taiwan, and a significant amount of time in Mexico. Brons made a mark on the sport wherever he traveled through his tremendous work ethic and authentic personality.


Reflecting on his career, Patrick expresses gratitude for the lessons learned through his successes and setbacks. His story serves as a beacon for aspiring athletes, reminding them that the road to success can be winding and unpredictable, filled with essential lessons along the way. His journey through the minor leagues, Korea, Taiwan and Mexico underscores the diverse paths available in baseball. His current role is the Athletics' Minor League Pitching Development Coordinator.
